Water jet cutting technology is widely used in many fields such as metal processing, stone carving, and glass cutting due to its cold cutting characteristics, high precision, and wide applicability to various materials. As the core part of the water jet equipment, the high-pressure system directly determines the cutting effect and the service life of the equipment. Therefore, scientifically and reasonably maintaining the high-pressure system is crucial for ensuring the normal operation of the equipment and extending its service life.

Firstly, maintaining the cleanliness of the high-pressure system is the primary task of maintenance. The water medium used by the water jet equipment needs to be processed by multi-stage filtration to prevent impurities from entering the high-pressure pump or nozzle, causing blockage or wear. It is recommended to regularly check and replace the filter cores to ensure the cleanliness of the water entering the system. In addition, dust and impurities in the working environment should also be cleaned regularly to avoid adhesion on the high-pressure pipelines or fittings, affecting the sealing performance.

Secondly, regular inspections of the operating status of the high-pressure pump should be carried out. The high-pressure pump is the core power source of the water jet equipment, and its performance directly affects the stability of the entire system. Operators should pay attention to the noise, vibration, and pressure output of the pump to ensure they are normal. If abnormal sounds or pressure fluctuations are found, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection, and professional maintenance personnel should be contacted for timely handling. In addition, the lubricating oil inside the pump should also be replaced regularly to reduce internal wear and improve the service life of the pump.

Third, regular inspections of the tightness of the high-pressure pipelines and fittings are required. After long-term use, the high-pressure water pipelines may become loose, aged, or even leak due to vibration or temperature changes. It is necessary to regularly check whether all joints are tightly fastened and whether there is wear or cracking in the pipelines, and to replace aging parts in time to prevent pressure drop or safety accidents due to leakage.

Fourth, the maintenance of the control system should not be neglected. Most modern water jet equipment is equipped with an automated control system, responsible for functions such as adjusting pressure and controlling cutting paths. Regular software updates and hardware inspections of the control system should be carried out to ensure its stable operation and rapid response, avoiding abnormal operation of the high-pressure system due to program failure or sensor failure.

Finally, operators should receive professional training to understand the operation procedures and daily maintenance points of the equipment. Proper operating habits can effectively reduce equipment wear and improve cutting efficiency. At the same time, establishing a complete equipment maintenance file, recording the time of each maintenance and replacement of parts, helps to identify problems in a timely manner and formulate preventive maintenance plans.

In summary, the maintenance of the high-pressure system of water jet equipment is a systematic and continuous task. Only through scientific management, regular maintenance, and standardized operation can the stable operation of the high-pressure system be ensured, improve the overall performance of the equipment, and create higher production benefits for the enterprise.
